Corvette Museum: A study of speed
I had just started to experiment with preserving marks in glass when an interresting artist call found its way to me. The Corvette Museum was having an art show to cerlebrate their history and I began to think not only about the marks in a static way, but also in a more fluid way, thinking about movement. The duotone shapes are inspired by the stiking scalop and speed fins on the sides of the early cars. They infulence the shape of the wind left behid as it rips down the highway.
They still have this piece and I am happy for it to be there.
